Summary: The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) Commissioner is an appointive office by the elected governor. The appointee needs to be a real estate broker. Wallace now lobbies for foreclosures for foreclosure lawyers (ECHO). • Jim Antt - owned a management company in Bakersfield and lobbied against laws that would protect homeowners e.g. met with Senate Housing Committee chair and her consultant Howard Yee and helped kill a bill she authored at the request of AHRC and other activist to provide homeowner buyers disclosure information on the homeowners association along with other state required disclosures e.g. termite, lead etc .
