17. OUR GOVERNMENT WILL BE DECIDING WHO WILL LIVE AND WHO WILL DIE ON A MASSIVE SCALE !!
  Sharon,

Wanna read something even scarier? It appears that our government is no longer content to just take our homes (foreclosures), our money (taxes), and even our freedom to do the kind of jobs we want to do (because of the massive hiring of foreign workers, legal and illegal) whether we choose to work in an occupation that is "Blue Collar" or "White Collar," ie, skilled or professional.

OUR GOVERNMENT WILL BE DECIDING WHO WILL LIVE AND WHO WILL DIE ON A MASSIVE SCALE !! And what triggers it may not be accidental or natural (see article below).

Report: Who Dies in a Pandemic?
Monday, May. 05, 2008
By AP/LINDSEY TANNER

(CHICAGO) Doctors know some patients needing lifesaving care won't get it in a flu pandemic or other disaster. The gut-wrenching dilemma will be deciding who to let die.

Now, an influential group of physicians has drafted a grimly specific list of recommendations for which patients wouldn't be treated. They include the very elderly, seriously hurt trauma victims, severely burned patients and those with severe dementia.

The suggested list was compiled by a task force whose members come from prestigious universities, medical groups, the military and government agencies. They include the Department of Homeland Security, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services.

The proposed guidelines are designed to be a blueprint for hospitals "so that everybody will be thinking in the same way" when pandemic flu or another widespread health care disaster hits, said Dr. Asha Devereaux. She is a critical care specialist in San Diego and lead writer of the task force report.

The idea is to try to make sure that scarce resources including ventilators, medicine and doctors and nurses are used in a uniform, objective way, task force members said.

Their recommendations appear in a report appearing Monday in the May edition of Chest, the medical journal of the American College of Chest Physicians.

"If a mass casualty critical care event were to occur tomorrow, many people with clinical conditions that are survivable under usual health care system conditions may have to forgo life-sustaining interventions owing to deficiencies in supply or staffing," the report states.

To prepare, hospitals should designate a triage team with the Godlike task of deciding who will and who won't get lifesaving care, the task force wrote. Those out of luck are the people at high risk of death and a slim chance of long-term survival. But the recommendations get much more specific, and include:

People older than 85.

Those with severe trauma, which could include critical injuries from car crashes and shootings.

Severely burned patients older than 60.

Those with severe mental impairment, which could include advanced Alzheimer's disease.

Those with a severe chronic disease, such as advanced heart failure, lung disease or poorly controlled diabetes.

Dr. Kevin Yeskey, director of the preparedness and emergency operations office at the Department of Health and Human Services, was on the task force. He said the report would be among many the agency reviews as part of preparedness efforts.

Public health law expert Lawrence Gostin of Georgetown University called the report an important initiative but also "a political minefield and a legal minefield."

The recommendations would probably violate federal laws against age discrimination and disability discrimination, said Gostin, who was not on the task force.

If followed to a tee, such rules could exclude care for the poorest, most disadvantaged citizens who suffer disproportionately from chronic disease and disability, he said. While health care rationing will be necessary in a mass disaster, "there are some real ethical concerns here."

James Bentley, a senior vice president at American Hospital Association, said the report will give guidance to hospitals in shaping their own preparedness plans even if they don't follow all the suggestions.

He said the proposals resemble a battlefield approach in which limited health care resources are reserved for those most likely to survive.

Bentley said it's not the first time this type of approach has been recommended for a catastrophic pandemic, but that "this is the most detailed one I have seen from a professional group."

While the notion of rationing health care is unpleasant, the report could help the public understand that it will be necessary, Bentley said.

Devereaux said compiling the list "was emotionally difficult for everyone."

That's partly because members believe it's just a matter of time before such a health care disaster hits, she said.

"You never know," Devereaux said. "SARS took a lot of folks by surprise. We didn't even know it existed."

Unconsciously, I believe they "understand political shenanigans" as well as the rest of do. But for one reason or another, they have consciously chosen to ignore that knowing.
"Control-freaks seem to be attracted to wanting to micro-manage HOAs. Lying is second-nature to them."
You're absolutely right! And any psychologist / psychiatrist worth his / her salt would agree with you. "Bad guys" are often "control-freaks" because that's one of the major ways they get and keep their power and money.

15. I believe we need to collectively seek the counsel of a CRIMINAL lawyer to help us
  Well Jan, Ravi, and others,

I think we are all too close to the trees and only see the beatles and other infestations. The picture turns out, I'm sure, to be much larger. I will someday compose an article to explain the bigger picture of Cannibals, the Predators who use them to feed themselves, and the ultimate holocaust that they may fatalistically plan--Armagedon.

I believe that the issues with HOA's and their fiendish and corrupt governances is only a small patch in the corner of the picture of world corruption and chaos. Human nature and ignorance, plus the "freebie" and the other instincts cause a great number of problems involving evil for the Human Race! That said, what do we have before us as possible real solutions to the HOA mess.

There are two sets of laws basically, TORT and CRIMINAL.

Torts are personal or 'private' offenses, while crimes are 'public' offenses.

We must personally foot the bill to press charges and suits concerning torts; but we pay taxes to fight crime!

The people are in a way lazy and cheap, in line with the "freebie Instinct", so any solution needs to involve that activity of the few to whom the many usually owe so much, as in the Battle of Britain!

Our solution is certainly not to pray for the "Honorable Legislators" to take action, or for the Media, or for the SAG's to act. As some of you have indicated, some or all categories contain individuals who are probably in on the whole mess -- they serve the cannibals or the Predators!

Therefore, we have to attack with the weapons at hand in our existing arsenals.

These people that we are up against commit their crimes (Malfeasance) by means of Torts (Tortfeasance). The definition of a perfect crime in my book is one that is disguised as a CIVIL MATTER. sometimes that mask is provided by the police themselves, who are another corrupt element in the proceedings.

We need to identify the tracks leading from the torteous side to the criminal side of the line between those two.

A crime has two elements essentially -- the means or method, and the end achieved. When the means is that usually associated with criminal ends, that is one type of "foot-print", and the other type shows up when the ends achieved are those normally classified as criminal.

These Association governances are committing torts to achieve crimes that we need to identify.

The first thing that shows us what is up are the lies, or frauds of presentation.

The second is the force used to extract supposed restitution for a default by the member of an HOA, CID, and so forth, or the net worth of the victim -- extortion.

The third thing is the way the money is spent, and to whom it is paid. The spending of monies of the Association presents and excellent chance for illicit profits gained through Corrolary Embezzelment", better known as graft -- criminal fraud.

I have recently also caught on to a more major crime that may look civil in nature -- possible murder by proxy through discouragement together with promotion of feelings of hopelessness, and through non-caring expressions, despair.

This act of communication is, by its nature, perhaps the most insideous and most evil practice of the lot when directed against the Elders who are potentially sometimes the most helpless persons and homeowners!!! Those are commonly victims of the foreclosure racket, are they not?

The foregoing is not to offer a solution as such, but to suggest where to look and how a few people (who are the usual interested parties) might succeed in attacking the perpetrators with the limited personal resources at hand.

I believe we need to collectively seek the counsel of a CRIMINAL lawyer to help us with the definition of the "footprints", by which we can "track" the culprits, and "ENRONIZE" them!

The beginning of the end was 911 -- and my, how our nation has changed since then:

Since 9/11, and seemingly without the notice of most Americans, the federal government has assumed the authority to institute martial law, arrest a wide swath of dissidents (citizen and noncitizen alike), and detain people without legal or constitutional recourse in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants in the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs."

The government adopted the new Patriot Act following the terrorist attack on 911.
For a detailed section-by-section analysis of the draft bill read the following:
http://www.aclu.org/safefree/general/17203leg20030214.html

Within the Patriot Act, The Bush administration has developed a parallel legal system in which
terrorism suspects -- U.S. citizens and noncitizens alike -- may be investigated, jailed,
interrogated, tried and punished without legal protections guaranteed by the ordinary system. . .

And, now we have a plan for Establishing Martial Law in the United States. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Establishing_martial_law_in_the_United_States

For the first time in American history, the reigns of government would not be transferred from one elected element to another, but the Constitution, itself, can be suspended.

The Department of Justice had been drafting this new legislation --titled "the Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003" -- in secret -- over several months -- until the documents were leaked to a journalist, and then broadcast on the Bill Moyer PBS news program, NOW on February 7, 2003:
http://www.pbs.org/now/transcript/transcript_lewis2.html

Along with the new Act it became known there over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. The government is not hiding them. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards.

What about HOAs? Are homeowner associations [HOAs] also part of the new internment camps of the program? Have millions of Americans bought right into their own prison system? Under Martial Law all it would take would be a couple of military type guards at the gate, with
guns and no one comes or goes. More and more neighborhoods are being turned into
homeowner associations, and gates can go up and around them in a matter of hours.

It is estimated that more than 60 million people in America live in homeowner associations --
where no-one owns their own property, but are just share-holders in a corporation [this is a
whole story in itself] -- and cities now require most new housing to be a homeowner associations, with lawyers and politicians creating new homeowner association, in open neighborhoods where none existed. It is a good way to control the people.

GOVERNMENT CAMPS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA:

Patton State Hospital, Patton, CA: A State Mental Hospital that c urrently houses about
1500 patients - but with room for about 5000. Razor wire, and a guard tower.

34534 116th Street East, Palmdale, CA This facility is across the street from the Palmdale Water Department. The area around the Water Department has fences pointing outward, to keep people out of this dangerous area so as not to drown. Yet, across the street, the fences, that run for miles around, all point inward. Why? To keep people in? What people? Who are going to be it's occupants? There are 3 large loading docks facing the entrance that
can be observed from the road. What are these massive docks going to be loading? They could easily fit 100,000 people in this area. There is a guard shack located at the entrance.

Brand Park in Glendale, CA There are newly constructed fences (all outfitted with new wiring
that point inward). The fences surround a dry reservoir. There are also new buildings situated
in the area. Why were four armed military personnel walking the park? Since when does a
public park need armed guards?

What would bring about a situation that would call into effect the need for these new prison facilities? A man-made or natural catastrophe? An earthquake, a massive poisoning, a panic
of such dimensions to cause nationwide panic?

Once a major disaster occurs (whether it is a real event or manufactured event does not matter)
Martial Law is hurriedly put in place and we are all in the hands of the government--who thus portray themselves as our protectors. Yet what happens when we question those in authority
and how they are taking away all of our freedoms? Will we be the ones detained in these camp
sites? And who are they going to round up? Those with guns? Those who ask questions?
Those that want to know what's really going on? Does that include any of us?

APPLICABLE EXECUTIVE ORDERS

The following Executive Orders, now recorded in the Federal Register, and therefore accepted by Congress as the law of the land, can be put into effect at any time an emergency is declared:

10995--All communications media seized by the Federal Government.

10997--Seizure of all electrical power, fuels, including gasoline and minerals.

10998--Seizure of all food resources, farms and farm equipment.

10999--Seizure of all kinds of transportation, including your personal car, and control of all highways and seaports.

11000--Seizure of all civilians for work under Federal supervision.

11001--Federal takeover of all health, education and welfare.

11002--Postmaster General empowered to register every man, woman and child in the U.S.A.

11003--Seizure of all aircraft and airports by the Federal Government.

11004--Housing and Finance authority may shift population from one locality to another. Complete integration.

11005--Seizure of railroads, inland waterways, and storage facilities.

11051--The Director of the Office of Emergency Planning authorized to put Executive Orders into effect in "times of increased international tension or financial crisis". He is also to perform such additional functions as the President may direct.

"THESE EXECUTIVE ORDERS GROSSLY AND FLAGRANTLY VIOLATE ARTICLE 4 SECTION 4 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. "THE UNITED STATES SHALL GUARANTEE TO EVERY STATE IN THIS UNION A REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT, AND SHALL PROTECT EACH OF THEM AGAINST INVASION; AND ON APPLICATION OF THE LEGISLATURE, OR OF THE EXECUTIVE (WHEN THE LEGISLATURE CANNOT BE CONVENED) AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE." "REGIONAL GOVERNMENT IS NOT A REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT!"

Stated simply: the dictatorial power of the Executive rests primarily on three basis: Executive Order 11490, Executive Order 11647, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting System which is operated through the new and all-powerful Office of Management and Budget.

13. Texas homeowner complacency is enabling the unethcial actions taken by their Board.
Here in suburban Texas we have homeowners who condone unethical actions as long as they don't have to do the work themselves. But their complacency is enabling the unethcial actions taken by their Board.

Many of them also don't understand political shenanigans and would rather argue about trivial things and attack people rather than looking at the big picture.

Control-freaks seem to be attracted to wanting to micro-manage HOAs. Lying is second-nature to them.

I like it !!!! In fact, to those HOA homeowners who continue to sit around on their rearends and do nothing about the corruption among them, or to those HOA homeowners who severely criticize what HOA homeowner advocates are trying to accomplish, even to the point of filing lawsuits aginst them, I'm fond of telling them this: If they want to continue to be complacent and apathetic (for whatever reason), or if they want to continue to "talk the talk but not walk the walk," to just stay out of our line of fire. And by that I do not mean gun fire. I mean that if they aren't helping to end HOA tyranny, they're hurting themselves and other innocent homeowners -- in the long run -- because we who dare to confront the HOA tyrants will, eventually, win in our struggle against them. It's just in the nature of "good guys". :-)

You also wrote:
"If more people would speak out against their abusive HOAs it would be easier to convince our legislative representatives that there is a problem!!!"Well, I'm not sure our "legislative representatives" are on the side of HOA homeowners. Remember, they are the folks who wrote and got enacted the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act ("CCIOA") in collusion (we believe) with CAI lawyers-lobbyists.

Having said that, I do agree with you that "if more people would speak out against their abusive HOAs," We The People voters would more quickly learn about such homeowner abuses and put a stop to them. After all, in our Constitutional Federal Republic, We The People are supposed to be the "masters" of our governmental representatives, not their "slaves," eh?

Notice that some people have been providing quotes.....so I thought I would add one.............do not know where it came from but I like it!!!!

"The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you deserve even less than you settled for ..."

I think it is very appropriate for those of us who refuse to allow our HOAs to walk all over us. I only wish those who do would realize what they are doing wrong. If more people would speak out against their abusive HOAs it would be easier to convince our legislative representatives that there is a problem!!!

10. THE BEGINNING OF THE END
  Ravi,

I like your first quote very much: "IF WE ARE FACING IN RIGHT DIRECTION, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS KEEP WALKING. .....BUDDIST PROVERB." In fact, I like it so much, I'm going to start using it on my posts in my own state of Colorado and other states throughout the U.S. Thanks for posting it! :-)

Here's another quote that I thought was profound and also seemed to hit the nail right on the head re HOA homeowners:
"The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."--Frederick Douglass 1857.
That is, homeowners who live in HOAs will indeed take back their property rights -- Constitutional and statutory -- when the limits to their endurance of being a slave to their HOA boards of directors and CAI lawyers become exhausted.

  Ravi wrote,
"...issues are so complex and remedy appears to be a nightmare, all we can hope for the best."
Yes, we can hope for the best while working as hard as we can to achieve it.

For example, when we find a legislator in our state who is "on the take" from any lobbyist -- especially a member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) -- DO NOT VOTE FOR for that legislator. Work as hard as you can to REMOVE him or her FROM OFFICE as soon as possible.
