This is what our family received after we became aware that Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles of the State of Washington, one of the Senators who signed and voted for the new bill SB5211, which takes away the protection under the Fair Credit Act, and Homeowner Association here in Washington State can now foreclose on your properties without violating the Fair Credit Act.
This Senator cannot even make time to answer why she signed the bill in the first place, I wonder if she was wined and dined by the Washington Realtors Association, which are the main body and are hell bent on pulling each property owner into a HOA.

I agree with Eileen Ryan article, specifically the 10 reasons that caused the continous abuses perpetrated by HOA.
I would change the priorities as follow.
Make 3 No.1
" 2 No.2
" 4 No.3
The main reason why HOA continue to "prosper" in their harassements and intimidations, because homeowner's apathy.
Everybody complaints, but no one wants to participate. I live in a Homeowners Association with 1000 homes and we have an average show of 7 to 10 people per meeting.
When elections time arrives those people who constantly complain they turn in a "ostrich" (sticking their head in the sand and do nothing about it).
People do not want to get involved..."they are too busy"...This is the very and only reason why those "bastards" (HOA and they lawyers) continue to succeed with their intimidations.

H E L L O...CALIFORNIA!
As a homeowner in ARIZONA, I emphazise with your homeowner problems but remember...California isn't the only State going through all this greed and political robbery. It's the whole United States and our government is behind it. The people need to take a stand against our government as a WHOLE if you want to see any results.
I've said it before and I'll continue to say it, our troops are dying to give other countries "freedom" but the people of the good ole USA are being kept captives in our own homes and have no rights....wise up America, the terrorists consist of our White House, the House of Representatives, The Senate, The Congress, our Councilmen, Mayors and Governors!!!
They all have their hands out and their pockets full of our money, our hard earned money at that while they just keep on voting to tax, tax and take from the American people and we all sit back and let them.
We give financial aid all over the World and what do the American people get for it...higher taxes and Homeowner Associations! Less pay in our checks and equity in our homes taken away by Associations and bills to pay for attorney's...the time for the American people to revolt is past due, don't you think?
Marching in Washington isn't the answer, put the action behind the words...REVOLT.
