Summary: Thomas Miiller, used Ms. Hickenbottom who for years wrote a free lance condo column in the Los Angeles Times as the celebrity drawing card for seminars he advertised in local magazines and papers to entice board members and persuade them into filing construction defect lawsuits. He reported gave a check for $1,000,000. dollars to President Bill Clinton. (a picture of him presenting an oversized check to President Bill Clinton was reportedly published in the Community Associations Institute Newsletter.)

Other Information: A couple of homeowners Thomas Miller represented in a construction defect lawsuit in Palacio del Mar Homeowners Association sued him and filed a complaint with the California Bar Association because he had settled and received settlement monies from some of the minor defendants and he had not disclosed these settlements to the plaintiffs he represented until much later when the developer asked to settle. The California Bar , as it does with most homeowner complaints delayed investigations and closed the case. Judge Rylaasdam was the Orange County Superior Court judge on this case. The plaintiffs informed him of this judicial misconduct but the Rylaasdam failed take any action.
