Homeowners BEWARE!!!! Don't think that it can't happen to you! Lost a job? In Debt? Cancer treatments got you down? Can't pay your dues? TOO BAD! The unscrupulous HOA industry vendors (HOA lawyers, Management Companies, and Collection Companies owned by the Lawyers and the Management Companies) will descend upon you, frothing at the mouth, eat away at your equity and begin to foreclose on your home within 90-days.
They don't care about you, your personal life, your health problems - nope! They depend upon you to take good care of their personal life and health problems and your home is the insurance.

Homeowners and housing consumers across the country owe the Adolphs an enormous debt of gratitude. Beanie Adolph, who spent hours analyzing and charting the first listings of foreclosures from court records, and then painstakingly entering all the information into a spread sheet, deserves an extra big thanks.
Not only is the sheer volume of information available on www.hoadata.org incredible, but beyond that, it removes any doubt that the power to foreclose, in the hands of the wrong people, with no checks and balances and no adult supervision can, and will, be abused.
There are those who maintain that, while the power to foreclose is an absolute necessity, it is only ever used in the most extreme cases. I don't know about you, but don't you think that 15,000 "extreme" cases are a little excessive? And I doubt that these same folks could credibly pass off 15,000 foreclosure filings as an "isolated incident" -- or even two.
Thank you Beanie, Bob and Tom for proving what we always knew.

I settled my case in mediation on Thursday (Houston, Texas). My
personal suit is over but my battle to change things will continue.
The out come was not what I had hoped for and if it were completely
up to me my case would be going to trial. Thank God I decided to
seek counsel before mediation and took what I am sure was the best advice and settled. I want to thank David Kahne and Robin Willis two attorneys who came to my aid pro bono, because they believed in my fight. For those that don't remember my story it made front-
page new of the Early Edition of the Sunday Houston Chronicle today, along with the story about Beanie Adolph's wonderful website.
I want to thank everyone for giving me support and motivation. I want you all to know that as a member of these groups I did not add much to the conversations, but I was always there reading and taking in information. I did collect a lot of information over the years and I
will share and help anyone who needs it.
I have lived in a HOA for seventeen years and never knew this type of abuse exist, until it happened to me. Now that I know, I will not
stop until the problem is fixed. Thanks again everyone!

The national network of homeowners have worked hard and long to expose the foreclosure racket in homeowner associations and those who profit from this racket. Let us keep shining the light on these rapacious lawyers, because cockroaches do not like light. Thank you Mike Snyder and the Houston Chronicle for writing about these foreclosures.

Beanie's Adolph's website is at: http://www.ahrc.com/HOAorg/horgindex.html "Since the 1987 Texas Supreme Court decision in Inwood North vs. Harris and the 1995 passage of Texas Property Code Chapter 204, Homeowners Associations (HOAs) have filed thousands of legal actions against homeowners in the Houston area, generally with threat of foreclosure, causing many to lose their homes and causing others financial hardship.
