3. Georgia State Court of Appeals DENIED the Association's Application for Interlocutory Appeal.
We wanted to keep you posted on the latest developments in the (Georgia) case of Camden Pointe Home Owners Association v. Ruth Caruana.

Yesterday the Georgia State Court of Appeals DENIED the Association's application for Interlocutory Appeal.

We expect further media coverage this week since our attorney has already been touch with local newspapers and television stations.

If the Association continues to stubbornly refuse to settle the next step is a jury trial. The Association has already amassed over $25,000 in legal fees.

We'll keep you posted.

2. Update from the homeowners
Homeowner stated that she had won a suit by the association pro-per but had to hire a lawyer this time because the association's CAI lawyers were "not playing by the rules". ,/I>

She stated that "false information was filed in the courts", "association filed papers without serving". "asked for $6,000 to settle the case as it will cost you $20,000 to go to court"

Fox 5 did a story that was palyed several times locally. They will be doing a detailed feature on homeowner associations.

Marietta- Journal is also doing a story today.

Charles is a retired journalist. Both Ruth and Charles have been spending quite a bit of time helping journalists understand the problems of in homeowner associations.
