Why can't the FBI investigate lawyers like Peters & Freedman under the R.I.C.O Act?

This is extremely disturbing. Even if it IS a misdemeanor it is still ILLEGAL!
How can an officer of the court, an agent of the law, one who should be held to the highest moral and ethical standard, AN ATTORNEY, (I know, I know, ya can't help but chuckle at that line) still be allowed to practice or have a license in any way shape or form after pleading GUILTY to an ILLEGAL sewer connection or anything ILLEGAL? Is that the only "ILLEGAL" connection?
I think David Peters' law license should have been put on probation as well.

The current charge against Peters is a misdameanor. However, if he has been using another attorney as a straw man and a conduit to grab peoples' homes in foreclosure, this may be a felony if fraud could be proven. I'd like to hear the thoughts of others on this.
