Our HOA has hired this law firm to go after me for doing a home improvement.
Our community is deteriorating and I dared to apply an energy efficient metal roof over to my house after asking to take it to the board and being told I didn't need to. We had no architectural committee to go to.

It is amazing to me that America has fallen so low that such actions go unchecked by our constituted authorities. I have followed the Rice SLAPP-suits and several in other states. Many of these are being conducted in the nearly 26 states that passed protections against these constitutional abuses. Of course it still takes money to file the proper counter-suits and this too has a draining impact on unprotected families or those without adequate funding. What do homeowners in the other 24 states without SLAPP protection do???
In our community we have watched CAI operatives work to maintain control over our local municipal and county governments along with their ULI buddies. We are fighting them and have had some success, but the cost has been amazing. When we checked the mayor and other incumbents disclosures you find these all important strings attached, no matter how hard they try to hide them. We are block-walking as we speak in yet our third attempt to take back our local government and our birth right through the elective process. Of course all this hinges upon a fair count of votes by a county election judge who is hired by the crony commissioners. What do you all think, can it be fixed? Can we undo this mess that we allowed to happen by going to sleep. Thank God you two haven't given up against these THUGs! These THUGs that pose for the society photo ops and stand with all the right politicians.
