Another one which is informative and interesting is www.followthemoney.org. It lists legisltors and even local propositions and where these entities are getting their 'campaign' monies. But there is also much deception involved in contributions, since 'perks' many times are given instead of cash, in exchange for 'favors' later on. And with large 'special interests' the money is spread out also, and not necessarily noted under the usual PAC designations, but through individuals.
And in most states campaign finance reports are required, and should be available upon request under FOIA (and even if the state doesn't have an 'equivalent,' open an accountable government at all levels is what our country was SUPPOSED to be all about, except for matters which can be clearly tied to CURRENT 'national security' issues.
