It is high time in my opinion to get involved in such specific cases by the State and its entities along-with media as part of commitment to the community to avoid such re-occurrences in future.
Moreover all out efforts may be made as I feel by all concerned to find ways and means to bridge the gap lest it is too late. Homes and its infrastructures are not commodities and as I feel may be dealt accordingly for peace and harmony.
Without going deep in view of fact that the matter is under preview in Honorable Court at present it is strongly felt and suggested if efforts are made to resolve amicably in the best interest of all concerned so that such re-occurances do not occur by BOD /managers and the concerned if deem fit.
As stated elsewhere in these columns it is expressed with deep sense of sorrow and grief and extend my heart -felt sympathies to the families involved for the irreparable loss which i feel may have been averted .
It is also felt that time is not far-off based upon recent judgments by California Honorable court/ Twin-River case that Honorable Court appears to be of the opinion to resolve issues accordingly and in case of wrongdoings if any may be dealt accordingly by the members in the best interest members may deal by Democratic ways viz. news letters, etc and in view of large volume of cases i feel that this trend may be in the offing. In simple word more and more homeowners/members need to get involved in the affairs and concerns of HOA and may try to resolve issues as i feel .
As the subject is so complex , it may please be read in letter and spirit .
With kindest regards,

Thanks for the help that homeowners give to one another and victims with action.
Calling, writing , faxing and publishing communications to the authorities , media and others in positions of responsibility helps everyone.
Talking truth to power, shining the light, publishing news and sharing this information are the most effective ways of curbing fraud and corruption in America's corporations, courts, government.

"Maybe, Florida has had some success, given the programs and enforcement of Rep. Robaina"<,blockquote>Between the Terri Schiavo, and Anna Nicole travesties, and the fact that O.J. Simpson has taken 'sanctuary' there, would appear Florida is the last place any sane individual would wish to live, and would appear their statutes and laws are the most abominable in the nation with respect to protection of the 'Bill of Rights' and private property (although with a generous homestead exemption, other provisions in their statutes and their laughable judiciary with the likes of Greer and the 'weeping' Anna Nicole judge horrendous. And it appears as 'Bush country' also acknowledgement of the 'Rule of Law' clearly lacking.

And, again, if there is a case number and further information on this, would also help to have the case number and such, since this 'state abuse' seems to be continuing unabated.

Still don't understand why, with all these postings, it appears it is 'the Board' who continues to be the sole blame by most of the 'advocates' on this site.
The city/state created these. The HOA attorneys and judges issued both the judgement, and then threatened, it appears, this woman and terrorized her. Attorneys don't 'consult' most of these Boards, nor did they issue the order which resulted in this tragedy.
And yes, since the legislature's have sanctioned and provided also 'indemnification' statutes and also allowed D&O policies rather than 'bond' coverages which required background checks for Board members - it is again 'the government' and 'the judiciary' including the HOA attorneys primarily to blame for most of these occurrences.
Guess it appears for most homeowners, it is 'easier' to blame your neighbor, than the circumstances and Constitutional breaches which allowed what is occuring to happen in the first place.

I, too, have sent this to a number of those in the media, and specifically to a contact at the Los Angeles Times. I have sent it to one Presidential candidate's office, and numerous lawmakers, their staff's, government and private housing officials, etc. In addition, I telephoned a contact at the Justice Department, as well.
In addition, I am sending out info to Dr. Martha Stout, PhD, and well known author.
Dr. Martha Stout, McClean Psychiatric, (Harvard affiliation), and author of, "The Sociopath Next Door," which I feel is an excellent insight into the personality of many of those acting as Board Members and their associates, within these abusive, terrorizing, groups. I recommend anyone within these groups read her work.
Earlier today, I heard about Dr. Stout's new work, which I feel is extremely beneficial for those who have been horribly traumatized by this abuse. The title of her new work is: "Paranoia Switch: How Terror Rewires Our Brains and Reshapes Our Behavior."
My prayers and sympathy to this family. This is a terrible tragedy. When are people going to wake up and understand this trauma! May God seek His justice on those accountable.
For Dr. Stout:
Google Dr. Stout and her work, or there is a link to her via the Huffington Post: www.huffingtonpost.com/_67392.html. I trust it is still working.

This is terrible.
I sent this story to the campaign candidates, to law makers and several media outlets.
I called this Los Angles Times reporter a couple of times and sent it to him as well. I am not sure why this is not on the front page of the Los Angles Times.
I also left a voice mail for Burton Wides - Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee who Repres. John Conyers has assigned these cases to.
I'm really sorry. Take care.

"The FBI should be the agency to turn to, but my experience, in every state, is that they take reports and DO NOTHING. Maybe some promises, but NO ACTION." Well, right now their hands are pretty full working with Homeland Security in filing reports on the foreign terrorists we still have in this country with our open borders. The domestic ones are further down the chain. Maybe if we got those borders secured, the number of foreign terrorists would be significantly reduced, and then they could concentrate on protecting Americans on the second half of their Constitutional duties, protecting America and American from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
But you are dealing with another 'bureaucratic' agency, with it's own protocols and hierachy, and right now this administration's understanding of 'the Rule of Law,' as with Gonzales, to put it mildly, has been a little off.

This San Clemente Homeowners Association Suicide story was resent to the Los Angeles Newsroom - Stuart Silverstein again at his request. He said he would make sure it got to the responsible channels at the Los Angeles Times.
In the case of the 1997 Homeowner Association suicide of HOA activist Jim Troutman from Loma Vista Homeowners Association in San Juan Capistrano, the Los Angeles Times assigned the story to a reporter after requesting an exclusive from his widow. The reporter and Jim's widow worked very hard to write up the story. After weeks of delay, the editor said they were still getting the HOA side (lawyers who worked for the HOA were initially Fiore, Nordberg, Walker, Woolf-Willis - later the HOA employed David Peters of Feters & Freedman) The story was never published. Homeowners attempting to follow up were told that and the reporter no longer worked for the Los Angeles Times.
Other Orange County homeowner association stories Los Angeles Times reporters wrote up have met the same fate e..g. a reporter took photos and wrote up the story of the sliding slopes of Palacio del Mar Homeowners Association. He told us that he and several reporters were laid off immediately after he filed the story. The Times did not publish the story.
