So long as the American people and average citizens do not DEMAND campaign reform, limited 'service' terms, their 'rights' as far as a voice in determining Executive, Judicial and Congressional salaries and 'perks', and an end to 'influence peddling' in the form of commercial 'corporate' lobbying and perks of any kind, or citizens begin, per the Constitution, 'pressing charges' for the on-going 'capital' crimes against the American people and U.S. Constitution, nothing will change. The people who stated 'you can't fight city hall' most likely worked for city hall. Our taxes are paying for this 'respresentation' people - a government that is claiming more and more 'sovereignty' and less and less 'accountability' as a government 'of the people.' Campaign reform and terms limited to service would at least result in ending partisan politics, and 'career politicians' once and for all.
'Executive privileges' not in the constitution need to be challenged by the states and citizens - especially those which have usurped over the past decades, and our Congress returned to its original Constitutional provisions - 'Representatives' elected by the people, and 'Senators' elected by the state legislatures and a 'check' on Constitutional issues on proposed bills, would be a first step and the state legislatures can initiate this, so at least the Senate is 'untinged' by 'industry and lobbyists' once more. And the election of the President returned to its original provisions - elected by members of the Senate. We now have two year campaigns for presidential office, paid for by the taxpaying citizens, with primaries now including up to a dozen 'candidates.' 'Representatives' of the people have no business accepting 'commercial' campaign contributions in any form whatsoever. And it is beginning to appear that 'those who raise the most bucks win' or can rig the election results with their 'industry' of 'mafia' connectins.
Our government is no longer based on the Constitution, but 'influence peddling,' and 'bribes' under the 'politically correct' term of 'campaign contributions.'
