I read the ahrc information you posted. Very sorry for the loss of your brother he was a person of great stature and all of us former military men and women are proud of his service.
I am at a loss why you have taken the stand you have at this time? I believe you volunteered along with Pat and if you are still an Army ranger hasnt that caused you to watch your back? The military is not forgiving regarding complaints, especially in a combat theatre and certainly not when you go public in the mass media.
Perhaps a recent discharge awaits you.
In a combat situation those complaints can cause you to end up a casualty of the war and unfortunately not from the enemy. I take you are safely back in the states and out of harms way and wont be returning to a combat zone. Those in your unit must have feared for their well being knowing how you felt, wondering if there lives were safe.
Rangers take care of their own but that is hard if your hearts not in it. Of course under the constitution your free speech rights are inalienable and preserved in our republic.
In military service there is no democracy, in a combat zone there is no free speech. You have the advantage of working together as a team, enjoying the benefits of your teams training.
I hope you are able to honor your brothers sacrifice without bitterness and rancor. He deserves that and so do you.

Kevin writes this; "Luckily this country is still a democracy. People still have a voice. People still can take action. It can start after Pat's birthday." Kevin needs to review his civics classes and understand that the USA is not a democracy but a Constitutional Republic.
It may seem like a nit pick but I get sick and tired of pundits and others that seem to think that America is a democracy when it is not and words matter.
As far as his feelings on the leadership in this country I too am disappointed that we have not fought the war as war with overwhelming force. It is time for America to start fighting wars with the aim of winning and stop this endless diplomacy of appeasement.
We should demand that are leaders accept nothing less than an unconditional surrender from our enemy's once we fight a war and nothing less. We owe it to the solders and owe it to Americans that give up so much blood and treasure.
Some of his accusations about the leadership are just wrong but he is entitled to his opinion. His brother is an American Hero that sacrificed his life for the rest of us in the war on terror.

Profile I live in one of the most mis-managed Homeowner Associations I have ever had the displeasure to live in. The board refuses to read our CC&R's and abide by the rules that govern the use of our reserves. We have had 2 major fraudulent elections and our dues have gone up 64% in 10 years. The Board governs by the rule of dictatorship and forces its policies down the throat of the homeowners. Both elections resulted in 2-3 million in unnecessary expenditures. We have contacted the AG who agrees with our complaint but refu..

Should the U.S. have just sat still and wait for the next terrorist attack?
