LAWYERS' LIES

7. The judicial system is entirely corrupt, from the United States Supreme Court down to the state district courts,
Lawyers are members of an elite group of people who can use their license to steal property, and imprison anyone who gets in their way.

Some lawyers use their licenses to create criminal enterprises.

When this country was founded, it was founded on belief that all men were created equal and they wrote the rules of the road so to speak in a Document called the Constitution.

From the moment it was written and signed the legal profession set out to change our Constitution always to benefit a special interest, them.

The judicial system is entirely corrupt, from the United States Supreme Court down to the state district courts, which has the terrible effect of tainting the actions of even the most well-meaning people working within it.

Normal Americans no longer have access to the courts because only the rich can afford to get legal redress. The current problems in the HOA are good example of how corrupt the system has become.

Even if you have the money to file a court action, then you have to deal with the fact the Judges and Lawyers are so corrupt the winner will be declared with the litigant that has the most money.

5. I have filed three complaints with the Arizona State Bar this year about the same lawyer - they wont do anything
  Re Comment #1

"Lawyers are only slightly glorified liars"

Actually, I would have to say that the lawyer representing my HOA is a "Paid Professional Liar".

Q: Why don't Sharks eat Lawyers?
A: Professional courtesy!

But seriously in reply to Comment #4

Yes you are correct about the majority of lawyers but I have filed three complaints with the Arizona State Bar this year about the same lawyer The last one was for preparing a false affidavit and suborning perjury.

They won't do anything. So, the problem appears to be that the honest lawyers need to do something about the Professional Liars that are destroying the reputation of their profession.

4. On behalf of my two late brothers who were both attorneys, and myself, I must write to apologize for the bad behavior of a minority of the members of our profession
On behalf of my two late brothers who were both attorneys, and myself, I must write to apologize for the bad behavior of a minority of the members of our profession and to assure you that most lawyers have good hearts and are dedicated to the pursuit of justice for their clients. You may not like their clients, and neither may they, but lawyers must put personal feelings aside to uphold their oath to diligently represent their clients' interests.

Now, if you feel you have been unfairly billed or otherwise treated badly, every state Bar association has a process for filing a complaint against an attorney or firm. You can use that process. You may not be successful, but at least you will have tried, and you may learn why certain things were handled the way they were.

I agree that the billable hour system, with its 15-minute minimum increments, is a lousy way to figure up charges. But lawyers are obliged to explain questions about their billing up front to clients, and you can report complaints to the state Bar. If a lawyer is billing her paralegal's work as her own, I would report that immediately.

Anyway, I imagine there were as many people who disliked my brother who practiced family law as there were who loved him. After all, he fought hard for his client, and the other spouse probably didn't like that at all. But at his funeral, I was amazed at the number of people who came up to tell me, "Your brother handled this business dispute for me and wouldn't take a cent--another lawyer was going to charge me $2500 just to look at it," and "Your brother got my mother out of a jam and didn't charge us," and on and on. There are many like him, believe it or not.

So please don't make hurtful statements about all lawyers. If you have a legitimate beef with one, report him or her. We are not all dishonorable. And we will fight tooth and nail for our clients, whether they are individuals or corporations that employ thousands. We may not always get the desired results, and we may make enemies, but that's life when people are fighting.

3. My son says he wants to be a lawyer.
My son says he wants to be a lawyer. I have been begging him not to make that mistake.

On the other hand - we have a wonderful family lawyer and have relied upon him to help us with family and business decisions. HOWEVER - he is a rare breed. In all the years of having to deal with lawyers - he is about the only one we have ever felt we could truly trust and rely upon for competent advice.

Imagine this:

He never billed us for anything other than the business he actually performed.

He didn't bill us for many many minutes of phone calls that were interjected with small friendship talk.

He always informs us prior to billing us on paper how much the charge is so that if there were any concerns they could be addressed before they were billed.

More often than not, we are charged more for actual paper work rather than phone calls. Being charged for a phone call meant the phone call was lengthy and strictly business.

For example, he wouldn't charge us to call us up and say, "by the way, I am getting ready to mail this paper work in, do you have any questions?", then bill 15 minutes because that is the minimum.

he RARELY took advantage of the minimum 15 minute charge.

He NEVER performs any business without first touching base with us. One lawyer we had would just bill and bill and bill and find sorry no good excuses to bill and from month to month we would have hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars in billings and for what? We never knew.

We know of one woman lawyer who billed OVER 24 hours of work in a 24 hour period.....duh ... she said it must have been a computer glitch. HAHA! So, she took off the extra 45 minutes. Who can work that many hours at a computer and not screw things up? Her excuse was that her paralegal did a lot of the work too. Now we are thinking - why the paralegal gets paid the same amount per hour as the lawyer? Needless to say, she is no longer in business.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

2. Public records of these law suits involving the egregious acts committed against homeowners by these attorneys, speak for its self.
Take a moment and ponder how many groups of attorneys in the history of the United States have used our legal system against what is basically a select group of millions of law abiding citizens. I believe that there will come a time when the public at large will look back upon these acts (of the last decade or so) committed by this group, and be appalled. The only thing more obscene than the awareness of something like this taking place is the awareness that these acts are condoned by our society today.

The public records of these law suits involving the egregious acts committed against homeowners by these attorneys, speak for its self. The CAI is simply wasting their breath in attempting to defend them selves against this. Their (CAI) energy could be better spent trying to reel in some of their attorneys then trying to defend what they do......
