Right on target, especially when it comes to CONDOS and GREED. We have an in-house/community access tv channel provided to our condo by Time Warner. On the channel the board of directors smear, defame and malign residents on a regular basis.
The BOD spins their spin without any fear of retribution or contradiction. They refuse to agree to equal access or a level playing field. They play gods with out money putting us into $18 million plus of debt. And the BOD threatens us with legal action and have sued owners in the past. The BOD and GM call the local police on residents if they are standing in the lobby asking neighbors to sign a petition. We are only allowed to leave 5 pieces at day at the concierge desk for the 1075 apts. that are in the building. The ingrained board hires a private investigator during the board elections to keep tabs, dig dirt and take pictures of opposition candidates.
They got the BOD lawyer to threaten Yahoo and took the owners first attempt at free speach, our closed Yahoo group and they forced Yahoo to shut it down for fear of a lawsuit. They intimidate the local papers so that no negative stories are ever published in the local papers about the condo, except when the the NY Times ran a story of a board member who stole 1.5 million from a NYC construction project ..then the local paper was just running an already written story. I have all the documents to back up what I am saying.
Things have gotten so bad that they ACLU has taken on our case for Freedom of Speach, Freedom to assemble, Freedom for a fair election, the right to equal access in the condo paper, under doors and on the tv channel.
Current lawsuit: The ACLU of New Jersey, Prof. Frank Askin of Rutgers University, and the Concerned Unit Owners of the Galaxy vs. the Galaxy Towers.
Prior lawsuit: The Guttgenberg Taxpayers and Rentpayers vs. The Galaxy Towers Condominium
