4. The California homeowner association ombudsman bills have been referred to a legislative process called "sunrise review"
The ombudsman bills have been referred to a legislative process called "sunrise review" which is used when a new regulatory body is being proposed. The review will be conducted by the Legislature's Joint Committee on Boards, Commissions & Consumer Protection.

I'm not sure when active consideration will begin, but I believe it will not be until the fall of 2005. I would suggest that you look the joint committee up on the Legislature's website to learn more about how the committee's process works. You could also submit comments to them explaining your position on the need for enforcement powers.

2. Can we use AHRC's site to start a continuing campaign to fight these Lobbyists
If you live in California you have heard, seen, and read about the Nurses in California fighting the good, strong, and hard hitting campaign against the current climate in Sacramento.

Questions

1. Can't homeowners, using this site do the same?

2. Can we use AHRC's site to start a continuing campaign to fight these Lobbyists, who are fighting for their own best interest? I say yes.

AHRC Response

Yes, you can use the Submission Forms to publish and inform and Communications features of the site to publish, email, fax and mail information.
