Indiana is not a good place to live ethier.
The governor has lied to the people, and the mayor of Indianapolis as well.
Property taxes are sky high and getting higher. the school system is getting the worse, and it is not a family friendly state.
The mayor of indianapols is cutting the police and closeing public parks and swimming pools, and cutting tras serivce. but yet he and the governor are keeping the Colts here and building them a new staduim. the money is coming from vistors and people who live here. They are letting the Colts team keep the money that they make off the events in the staduim. Indiana gets nothing.
This state is letting the homeowners assocations get away with a lot. They are letting them take the dues, but do not help the people.
Where I live we have not had a meeting in 4 years. They do not sending out flyers to let owner know what is going on. They are even biased because they are letting certian people get away with the things that are posted in the rule book. We have inexperienced people running our homeowners assocation

Yes, we are leaving our Homeowner Association after more than ten years of battles, and illegalities by the attorneys, board and management.
We are moving an hour down the road into a REAL neighborhood, where children play on the street, music can be heard on a Saturday afternoon, and nieghbors have block parties once in awhile.
What a pleasure to be out from those who let a little power go to thier heads.
However, we won't really make any progress in this fight unless we rally together to make these criminals accountable.
It will be the same kind of fight as the Civil Rights movement, but it what will work, if we all can stand up together and do it.
To be an advocate has a legacy of hardships.
However, it is all worth it for the people.

Wow, even the Congressional Quarterly is writing about homeowners associations!
I am frankly very surprised to see such well known and respected publications doing articles on homeowners associations. I didn't think they would have the guts to do it.
But judging by some of the great articles you have posted here on this website, it would appear that the media is thinking they don't want to get lost in the dust when their competitor makes the headlines by breaking the REAL HOA HORROR STORY that starts with the legislators who have been "coerced and bribed" into passing the laws that benefit the trade lawyers and management companies whose income depends upon this bad idea.
Former inmate of "The Colony" HOA.
