I have yet to see the sense in SUING someone for a CRIMINAL ACT concerning the apparent FELONIES of Peters and Freedman (maybe that should be JAILEDman).
Will somebody wake up to the fact that these people (seniors, et al) are maybe being deprived of their civil rights to EQUAL PROTECTION of the LAWS?
The FBI is tasked with investigating crimes committed [by associations] under the Governing Documents! If Associations retain law firms such as Peters and Freedman, and if they then allow them to commit crimes against their members, then cannot the FBI go after both the association and the law firm?
Why not petition the US Attorney to prosecute such associations and law firms?. If any of the parties are CAI agents, then the matter is INTERSTATE, therefore potentially FEDERAL in jurisdiction.
I think we should PUT THEM ALL IN LEVENWORTH, with the ENRON crowd!

This is outrageous and unAmerican!
Who do these attorneys think they are? Good God, somebody please stop this from happening! I hope this comes back to these attorneys 10 fold.
I hope your Governor will see what this is doing to people and CHANGE THE LAW!!!
The Seniors won first trial--those xxx attorneys should have left them alone!
Who the hell are we voting for that does this atrocity to human beings? Shame on them! I hope they get it back, and I pray you seniors have a good outcome.
If the media would announce this all around the world, maybe more Americans would hear the truth of what's going on in the Homeowner Association "dictatorship" world. It is true, and I agree to what one person said. You can have a good HOA one day, and just like that, it can change. Someone came on to your Board; nobody stopped him, and he was able to take over and change the CC&Rs.
If homeowners aren't involved and don't do something to stop this, it CAN happen to anybody. The laws are ridiculous, to let something like this happen to our Senior Citizens of America.
Good Lord, I just hope something is done to stop this nonsense.
God bless you Seniors.

Poster #3 asked the following:
"Where the hell is the Congress of Seniors, AARP, the Gray Panthers and any other so called senior 'help' organizations."
Good question that deserves to be asked again!

I am working with Massachusetts State Legislator Matthew Patrick to attempt to bring justice to Massachusetts homeowners.
The story of the senior citizens of Desert Crest community will be with me when I attempt to explain how potentialy terrible a Homeowner Association can be.
I was looking for other sources of information that would paint the true picture of these organizations when I found a letter written by a retired judge, Charles Egan Goff.
This letter is an elegant appeal to the California Law Revision Commission to see Homeowner Associations for what they are, to tear off the veil of validity in which these organizations so carefully cloak themselves.
Perhaps you could print this letter again.
It may give others faith to know that are (even)Judges who are knowledgable of, and faithful to the principles of American Democracy.

Even in all your glory as THE TERMINATOR or MR.UNIVERSE, MR. WORLD or MR. GOLD'S GYM, or whatever, and now as a GOVERNOR.........
even with all that greasy pumped up muscle.....................
We can just about bet you aren't going to lift a finger, let alone use any of that muscle to help these poor seniors. After all, you just got done VETOING the one bill (AB2598) that would have put a chokehold on just this type of scandalous housing tragedy.
C'mon big guy - the one single MOST IMPORTANT challenge of your life doesn't require testosterone or steroids, protein shakes or protein powders, power bars or power lifting, tanning pills or tanning booths - it only requires the use of one muscle and that is the BRAIN along with a little common sense!
GET RID OF THESE FORECLOSURE FACTORIES!
WHAT WILL YOU DO GOVERNOR ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER!!
HEY MARIA!!!! TALK SOME SENSE INTO THAT MAN OF YOURS. YOU'RE A MEDIA MOGUL.
WHAT WILL YOU DO MARIA? JUST SIT BACK AND WAIT FOR A FEW MORE OF THE DESERT CREST SENIORS TO DIE?

We had heard that this story had been reported to the local legislators for help as well as the District Attorney.'s office, the California Attorney General's office, the Governor, the Police and pretty much every government entity they could think of and NOBODY DID ANYTHING!
What are these people to do?
Where the hell is the Congress of seniors, AARP, the Gray Panthers and any other so called senior 'help' organizations.
What about the major media, where the heck are they?
Kudos to the American Homeowners Resource Center for exposing this atrocity.
WARNING TO SENIOR CITIZENS - BE AWARE OF THE HAZARDS OF HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION HOUSING!!! EVEN A GOOD HOA CAN GO BAD WITHOUT WARNING.
WE WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER CONSIDER POURING OUR LIFE SAVINGS INTO SUCH A RISKY INVESTMENT AS HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION HOUSING - PARTICULARLY AT RETIREMENT.

This is an unspeakable outrage! Is there no way to stop these monsters?!!!
If one of my family members died from the stress of dealing with one of these foul, scum, lawyers, employed by Peters and Freedman, I'm afraid I would become a danger to society.
