The Galaxy board in 2004 tried unsuccessfully 2 times to pass major changes to our masterdeed and bylaws at a cost of $96,000.00 to the association. The Galaxy owners did not want these changes to pass yet the board kept pursuing the vote.
One resident was speaking with her neighbors about the proposed changes in her tower lobby and the General manger called the Guttenberg town police in an attempt to intimidate her and keep her out of the lobby. She was then harrassed by the Galaxy security force and told not to stand in the lobby.
The lobbies are common areas and one of the only places that the 1075 owners are able to speak with each other. During this years elections for the board of director, the board and election committee changed the election rules to read that anyone candidate or their supports who were caught campaigning in the lobby or any other common area, i.e. a corridor, the elevator etc. would be disqualified.
How can owners know who to vote for if there is no means of communication?
