Court: After a long nasty fight, a judge's ruling clears two lanes in a pool in Irvine

I am familiar with this association and the problems. Too bad Mrs. Ross wasn't able to get rid of the swim team altogether. People say "you can't fight city hall". Well, you can't fight an association either.

It is amazing the HOA cases that clog the court dockets and all those homeowners who are being put in such a risky situation as taking on a lawsuit against a homeowners association in the courts of California. The case laws just do NOT favor the homeowners side. And if you lose, you might pay with your home. To put it bluntly, it is just about suicidal.

What is even more sad and disgusting is the parents of the swim team children that just looked the other way when things got ugly and they continued to allow their children to participate in such a program. Now that's the way to build character and set an example for children isn't it? The rumour is that one of the Irvine city council members had children in that swim club but didn't want to get involved.

tsk tsk.

But then again, what would one expect out of hoards of people looking for 'sameness' and who buy into the homeowner association idea to begin with. Do they tend to be people who aren't likely to think for themselves and let a bunch of their neighbors (the board of directors of the association) tell them how to live? Can we say baaaaahhhhhh like sheep?

It is scary to think that almost the entire city of Irvine consists of HOA's and their HOA'ites and it is no wonder it is such a 'frigid', 'cold', weird place, with surveillance cameras and gates everywhere. I guess people just think it is cool to live behind gates like a prison.

Ross was lucky to have so many people that supported her. We saw a lot of the responses in the newspapers and the people that supported her cause but WOW, those swim club "parents" responses were downright mean and nasty. Scary.

And nothing has changed................

Thanks for the time.

Sincerely,
"Shark Bait from Irvana"
