When is the State Attorney General going to prosecute Peters and Freedman? These two have hurt many homeowners. What they've done all over the State makes my skin crawl.

I am the new President of a new homeowners association in Lynnwood, WA (just north of Seattle). I am disgusted by the articles I have seen on here. I am glad I found this site and joined, but cannot believe what some of these homeowners associations are doing and have done.
I have other personal things that occupy my time and have considered resigning so that I can attend to them. Now that I have seen the articles on here, it just re-emphasizes the poor management in my previous condo and thus I will not be resigning. As long as I am president of our association, I refuse to allow it to act like so many of these others.
I actually care about my community and my neighbors. I have taken my own personal time to care for the parks and do so much more for this community to make sure our dues stay low, and we live in a clean desirable community.
It shocks me that the government ignores these problems.
For any members viewing this, if you are a member of a home owners association and you do not like how it is being managed, and if you feel others in your association feel the same way, then you need to read not only your CC&R's but also the by-laws. When you pull the majority together, you may find that you have the right to throw out the current officers and elect new ones. And by all means, NEVER hire a management company to run an association, you can do it yourself and save an ungodly amount of money!!!!!! WE DO

Excellent article; all points are covered very well. Let's hope that the Supreme Court reviews this case and reverses the injustice that has been done, before even more damage occurs!
Please keep us posted...
