Press Release
Homeowner Associations

A Casino for lawyers, rental judges and service agents

January 01, 1991

By AHRC News Services

United States of America, California - Homeowner associations have become high pay-off machines for homeowner association litigation lawyers. They rig the machines through the legislative process, so that the gold comes tumbling out when they pull the lever. The "gold" is made up of association reserves, the home equity of homeowners, HOA insurance policies (professional liability policies) for boards and managers homeowners are forced to pay for and the lawyers use to rake in their legal fees, and the life savings of homeowners (In California lawyers can subject homeowners to unlimited lawyers fees even to collect a false late charge).

Lawyers, management companies and rent-a-judges all "go for the gold".
