Press Release
Are homeowner associations environmentally unfriendly ?

Reporter requests stories on restrictive covenants in Texas subdivisions

October 09, 2006

By Asher Price (View author info)

Austin, Texas -

Following is a request from Asher Price. This is a time sensitive story - he has a couple of days. Please email or call him as soon as you can. Thanks. AHRC Staff

I'm the environmental reporter at the American-Statesman, the daily paper in Austin, Texas.

I'm working on a story about how restrictive covenants in subdivisions have made it difficult for some homeowners to pursue environmentally friendly measures for their home. (e.g. Installing solar panels or landscaping with drought-resistant grass.)

This story concentrates on Texas, so I wonder if I could hear only from readers of AHRC who live in Texas.
