Rep. Talmadge Heflin is leading the fight to get 86 legislators lined up to sunset the bar and put lawyers under the same kind of state regulations as doctors. This is why, at this crucial moment, it is important that all citizens attend a hearing of a lawyer who dares to defy the mighty bar association which is scheduled to be heard June 25th 2002 at 8:00 A.M. in 2nd floor of the Civil Courts Building at 301 San Jacinto in Houston, Judge Mark Davidson's 11th District Court.
All citizens need to understand how the Texas Bar Association rules with an iron fist, completely according to the rules of its own secret brotherhood, which is unregulated by the state. Control comes from the Bar's own secret grievance committees at which the victim of the bar is not allowed to testify or even appear on his own behalf, violating the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of "due process".
Texans, lone practioners, and small law firms are beginning to see that the tyranny of the Gestapo methods of the powerful Bar Association controlled by huge law firms, must be curbed and put under state regulations like doctors, teachers and other professionals.
What is the hearing all about? Ed Truncellito, a lone practitioner, researched records with regard to the no-fault divorce law as it is being applied. The original intent and law was designed for couples who mutually agreed, with no property or children custody problems, who wished to get a divorce quickly, inexpensively and pretty much on their own. The lawyers gradually forced this law on every couple even though there was no mutual agreement. This made a whole new industry of the divorce business which was extremely lucrative and easy pickings for lawyers, ignoring the unfairness inflicted and the suffering caused by this illegally applied no-fault divorce law.
All citizens are encouraged to attend as courtwatchers. Please come prepared to keep good notes and to sign an affidavit of what has happened in court if necessary and to testify later about what happened in court. |
