| Jackson, Wyoming - A letter to trial lawyer and author Gerry Spence:
Dear Mr. Gerry Spence: - Trial Lawyers College:
Almost two decades ago homeowners who had purchased homes in California discovered that they had been trapped into homeowner association corporations.
They also discovered that politicians , realtors, foreclosure lawyers and judges, lenders and insurance vendors are involved in a nationally organized property theft scheme using HOA corporations.
This group organized under the trade lobby group called Community Associations Institute (CAI) has written laws so property (condos, homes, acreage) is sold with undisclosed contracts and servitudes controlled by HOA lawyers.
CAI constantly rewrites HOA laws to favor them so they always win lawsuits and are able to foreclosure.
Homeowners in HOAs have been stripped of constitutional, property and human rights. HOAs can borrow money from lenders encumber others' homes and lenders and HOAs can foreclose on homes to collect these encumbrances.
HOAs can make up any rules and let these HOA lawyers drag out the litigation for years and collect hundreds of thousands of dollars. Even if the homeowner after a judgement immediately pays, these lawyers can file "fraudulent transfer" lawsuits to keep on collecting hundreds of thousands.
HOAs are nothing more that a "non-profit" gaming front for these organized criminal racketeers.
Lawmakers lie and write illegal laws to insure foreclosures.
Judges manipulate cases, deny jury trials, force owners into $500. per hour phony "mediation" exercises during lawsuits, and use the judicial process to enrich lawyers and judges by bankrupting homeowners.
The California State Bar, the District Attorneys, the Attorney General and other government officials ignore racketeering and fraud in HOAs. The HOA racketeers rotate in the roles of corporate lawyers, judges, lobbyists and politicians to rob citizens' homes and property.
To raise public awareness and help bring about reform, we started a volunteer run publishing, networking and communications website American Homeowners Resource Center in 1997. AHRC is a leading resource on HOA information for homeowners and is used by journalists, policy makers and others worldwide. It receives between 2.5 to 3 million hits a month.
Your website states He has spent his lifetime representing the poor, the injured, the forgotten and the damned against what he calls "the new slave master," mammoth corporation and mammoth government.
Spence is the founder of the Trial Lawyers College which has established a revolutionary method of training lawyers for the people. He believes that what he has learned needs to be shared with those who will continue to strive for justice on behalf of ordinary people. The books you have authored would provide education to homeowners. Would you allow us to reprint of your book reviews to make homeowners aware of your publications?
Is the training you provide only for lawyers and judges or can people with some legal background also benefit from these training programs?
Have you looked into any of the corporate, legislative, and judicial housing scams that are now making so many millions in America homeless?
Are you able and willing to defend homeowners in these situations?
Sincerely,
The Staff
