Sacramento, California -
Dear homeowners:
For two decades CAI has been lying to homeowners, legislators and the media that they represent association homeowners. They also lied about the intent and effects of their foreclosure laws and they got very, very rich manufacturing lawsuits and stealing homes and life savings.
This year the CAI lobby clique has a new helper - Marjorie Murray. Marjorie claims she represents homeowners. Does she?
Marjorie avoids informed homeowners and homeowner advocates. She works behind the scenes with bill author Christine Kehoe, Senator Jackie Speier and with the Sacramento lawyer lobbyists clique. Together they framed the anti- homeowner bill, AB2289 . Now she is busy testifying before committees, calling analysts to frame the the bill analyses, and putting out press releases misrepresenting the effects of AB2289 .
AB2289 :
1. Gives police powers to CAI lawyers.
2. It is lets collection lawyers steal homes for minor dues
3. It is a windfall for politicians and judges - politicians like Governor Gray Davis , Jackie Speier and Attorney General Bill Lockyer. They get a big cut from what CAI lawyers and vendors take from trapped association owners. Rent-a- judges thrive on lawsuits, arbitration fees, and donations.
Lobbyist lawyers on the payroll of Consumers Union and AARP are using the "senior and consumer mantle" to push this home stealing bill.
Homeowners and advocates have been shut out of the legislative process. Records have been falsified and hidden . Kehoe and her gang are just following the footsteps of their mentor and chief fund raiser, Governor Gray Davis.
Michael Yang, a Senate Judiciary Committee analyst , currently under heavy lobbying by the anti-homeowner lobbyists and Marjorie Murray says he will publish his analysis of AB2289 on Monday.
You can still make your opposition part of the AB2289 government records by emailing Michael Yang, California Senate Judiciary Analyst
Since homeowner letters have a way of disappearing from some legislative files we have set up a " Government Letters" section. You can preserve your communications on the web by using this AHRC Submission Form
