Copperopolis, California -

The following is a letter to Governor Arnold Schwarznegger. from Thomas Radcliff

To California Governor Arnold Schwarznegger:

Dear sir:

My name is THOMAS RADCLIFF. aged 64. I have built my new home at COPPER COVE LAKE TULLOCH HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION,at Copperopolis,California.

My three sons and I , have been building my home for about 15 months. I have spent every penny of my savings, 401 K, IRA, and my credit union savings, building for my wife and me, our dream home. I have also borrowed $35,000 dollars from my sister-in-law, to complete the house.

My wife, Anita Radcliff age 62, pulled her state savings to help with costs. During this time we had health issues, causing us to fall behind in one year's worth of association dues. The Association put a lien on our house, without our knowledge, for the amount of $207.50 in May of 2003.

The association turned the lien over to COAST ASSESSMENT SERVICE COMPANY, PO Box 972, Garden Grove, Californa. 92842 Tel# 714-741-7575.

We received a notice, and contacted them by phone. A verbal agreement was made to pay back dues. January 8 th we received a three day notice that OUR DREAM HOME had been sold at auction on December 18 th 2003 for the sum of 70,000 dollars.

Now our home belongs to Robert Vardanega , P. O. Box 1151 Alameda, California. 94501. We have tryed to contact Robert, and he was cold and callous and said he could care less about my wife and I, and hung up.

We were looking for a loan when we contacted the association, to pay off the loans and costs. Now our home, appraised for $289,000 + , was sold for $70,000 dollars.

I am in the process of losing everything I have and have nothing left . California laws say this is legal.

I feel it is not because I have no recourse. Does this happen all the time and is this right?

What can I do? What can you do?
