| Columbus, Ohio - Obama and Hillary are running a close race, There are rumors that say that "Obama is too young" and that he does not have enough "experience" to handle the tough job as being president, and to make the tougher decisions about major issues on war, and so on. So, Hillary won New Hampshire...have they been altering the polls again like they did in the Bush/Kerry campaigne in Florida? Who's trying to force Hillary on us?
Obama showed his true colors of diplomacy, when he began to speak eloquently that although pessimists and commentators think that he is "too young," and "too nice," and "don't have enough experience" (a record of change), Obama, states for the record that he turned down the "millionaire jobs" to work for human rights, "civil rights" to be closer to the ground to hear the voice of the people.
There are not many leaders willing to take the low road to listen to the cries of the blue collar workers and entry-level income participants. Obama made it clear that he is about "real-to-life" issues for change, and this is where his experience and expertise is. Obama also suggests that change starts at home and that he has been fighting for not only in his own life, but in everyone lives he has been advocating for. Obama says, "We need something new, we need to turn the page." "We cannot afford another failure."
Obama is educated and has had hands-on-training in real-life situations. You can't get a better candidate that knows both perspectives of life. He was in it, and knows what to do about it. I can't see any of the rest running this race to presidency that knows and have insight of what it is like to be a minority. One more thing that makes Obama different or special, he is "status quo" he sees the way things are now, and not how it used to be, he is not saying, let us continue stay the same, he is challenging us to see fresh and innovative ideas that are true to life. Obama is not high-minded, he has humility, and he is confident of what to do to make serious change in our economy, war, health care, housing issues, etc., and he has no fear to get his fingers dirty to get the job done.
Politicians say one thing, and do another, after you have heard experienced leaders speak on major issues, and stating what they will do when they become president, you find they can disappoint you in the end; it becomes another lie--another way to get in with an agenda that has nothing to do with the general public's interests. We cannot afford another failure. Change is not easy, but it is necessary. Obama's statements sticks to real life issues that need attending to.
The health care plan is no good with out a strong economy and money to spend, our tax dollars have been diluted in the engagements of war; jobs need to be instituted again. Most of the employers have left the United States to "moonlight" oversees. If we have not any employment available or an upgrade for higher paying jobs for the middle class and the low-income Families, then across the board the consumers can not get involved to strengthen the economy. We do need hope, and speaking of hope, Obama implies, that hope does not mean "wishful thinking, being idealistic, ignoring difficulties, or good intentions," but rather it's an expectation, "vision," anticipation..."to believe, and it will happen."
Obama says his experience is with "real lives, and real issues to make changes, choices to changes," "he learned to do it the hard way." The comments of the speculators were unsure that he would make it in this race without the lobbyists funding. But, Obama proved them wrong; he showed his ability to fundraise the old way, with the American people. now, that is a change. Obama says, "Change is light," and to fight, you got to know who you are; and what you are fighting for, and stand on it. Obama says, "There is no fear to compromise," to bring together a group of people, a "majority," and "build an army for change."
Hillary, on the other hand, points out that "we all want change," and hope,"I believe change come by working really hard for it." Hillary suggests that "whom much is given, much is expected."
Hillary is a lawyer for defense, concerning public education system, adoption and foster care, health care, etc., Hillary says, "and when she is president she will get it done," and concerning the economy and fiscal responsibility, Clinton is for job creation, she declares that "public service is public trust.' Clinton continues to make statements that there is no time for "gratification of our egos; she wants healthcare," and the "choices to have care at affordable prices."
Clinton suggests to "becoming energy efficient," create jobs by other energies. Clinton says, "She will work with the republicans." "Create millions of jobs in the process, have new beginnings and free child education concerning the "no child left behind program," and affordable college funding, and prove the leadership and moral commitment to bring our troops home, making sure we take care of our troops by giving great health care to them, and bring back pride to America.
The republicans had their chance to offer real change; The republican President George W. Bush has damaged the outlook on how the general public views the republicans, especially when it came to family values, war, raised taxes and bringing our troops home from war. Now, whether it was right or wrong, we know the stunt was very political.
Who knows who will win the presidency at the November 2008 elections. As Hillary puts it "we have to vote for a president." Will Obama's change reign? Will a fresh new and vibrant, bright light shine? Or, will the same ole redundant experience stammer the nation once again and rule? Wouldn't it be a change if youth and experience came together? Who will walk the talk? |
