The Law Offices of Philip A. Putman Requests Information for the RICO investigation

November 10, 2007

By Law Office of Philip A. Putman HOA Investigation (View author info)

Costa Mesa, California -

The Law Offices of Philip A. Putman is continuing the RICO investigation of homeowner association lawyers and managers.

RICO stands for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations. Congress initially passed this legislation to combat the Mafia. However, subsequent case law has significantly expanded the use of the law. Those found guilty of RICO violations are subject to treble damages.

Mr. Putman is asking homeowners who live in, or have lived in homeowner associations, to forward any information to him which might show that the lawyers and/or management companies, may have conspired with managers, and other vendors, experts, lawyers and judges to shakedown peoples' homes and life savings.

If you have been fined, liened or foreclosed on, Mr. Putman would like to hear from you. Likewise, if you have evidence of such things as election fraud, abuse of insurance policies, IRS violations regarding the non-profit 501c (3)status of HOAs, concealing books and records from board members and homeowners, perjury in court, and fraudulent changing of CCRs, please forward your information to Mr. Putman as soon as possible. As it is a broad investigation, feel free to contribute whatever information you have.

In California several years ago, Melissa Colburn filed a RICO action against the law firm of Peters and Freedman. The latter reached a settlement with Ms. Colburn prior to trial, so the case never went to trial. As the settlement was confidential, no details are available.

All information will be held in the strictest confidence. Please fax, email or call with the information for this RICO Investigation.
