| Powder Springs, Georgia - At this time, I do not choose to focus upon the issue of Caesar and any tax sham or a celebration borne of the pagan 'Winter Solstice'. I prefer NOT to dwell on the control of commerce generated by and from religious gathering places and now even our homes. Similarly, it is not the juxtaposition of corruption among men and courthouses, so fraught with crime and injustice, that I choose to dwell upon as I take this yearly pause, but the service and glory to be returned, that my family has remained stalwart in, filling my heart and mind.
In a life's work, there are many struggles between good and evil. Each of us chooses their way, and the associations, masks, or allegiances our life's work will be marked by, along with the far reaching impact upon our childrens' souls. The labors for life, liberty, and property, touch the souls of ALL men, without regard to region, religious conviction, or culture. And we each accept or refuse, that which we know to be wrong, despite the magnitude, sacrifice, or trevail we endure.
For those of us who choose to believe in truth, justice, and honor, there are many struggles. For my family, we choose to serve the Saviour, and in doing so, there is always hope and love to be shared. It is NOT any different for those of other beliefs or dedication, as so many have shared or freely taught their personal convictions with my family. However, these words, I offer for each to consider, read, or ponder in their own heart, mind, and lives. I hope in some way, they bear reflection, meaning, and/or encouragement. As clearly, it is NOT the institution of religion, escalation of commerce, government reformation, any temporary consideration of personal choices, or a given season, that springs forth hope, but the faith and service each of us choose to commit our lives to.
Isn't it time, to abandon artificial facades, refuse to accept wrong done to anyone, and strive for that which is real as well as just? The message of this season, your mother, or the 'rule of law' was set forth to yield a just life of mutual consideration. Can any life without love give back glory to anyone or thing? Instead of buying temporary appeasement or distraction, invest in your soul and that of your neighbor. Consider serving not yourself and usury living, solely predicated upon comfort and convenience, but live to demand love, truth, as well as honor, accepting no less for thy children and neighbors.
Live a life worthy of ALL seasons! Give the gift of love and truth to ALL in ALL, that is my prayer this season.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;
Looking for the blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all inequity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Titus 3:10-14
May the fruits of your labor and good works you choose to return, be yielded unto you, such that each heart may know peace, in lieu of deception and injustice.
And yes Mama, I remember ... To those who are given much; much is expected, and ONLY your best will do!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL and BLESSINGS IN THE NEW YEAR!
