| Atlanta, Georgia - With the nomination of Alito under the Bush Administration's belt, President Bush's 'State of the Union' Speech took on a heightened purpose. But a few Democrats clearly wanted to voice their difference of opinion, as they stood in opposition to the mere mention of privatization efforts attempted upon the already damaged and frail Social Security system.
While "Enron" and "Abramoff" matters seem to create larger and more resounding circles throughout the nation and here in Georgia (GA), a number of shifts are seemingly beginning to take place. Will it be more of the ying and yang, or have American property owners endured enough collateral damage?! Aren't we ready for the REAL 'War on Terror' being waged against law abiding American property owners and families, to end? When will Americans require our government to defend our shores from domestic threats? With rigged tax votes and control of the courts, what is it we are subsidizing?
Race for the Secretary of State (SOS) Seat
In GA, it seems the most prized elected seat besides Governor (Gov), is the SOS position. Both Karen Handel, a prior Gov Perdue staffer elected to the Atlanta (ATL) Board of Commissioners, as well as Senator/Floor Leader Bill Stephens both view the positions as key. When asked at last week's Cobb County Republican Party Mass Precinct Meeting, why the interest in the SOS Position given his key position in the Senate, Stephens voiced concern regarding the clean up of voter rolls in GA.
This reporter could not help but ask, "Do you mean like the task Florida (FL) Secretary of State now Representative Katherine Harris, who is currently seeking another consecutive promotion to the Senate, had completed?" Senator Stephens, did not think his effort would be the same as Harris. Does that mean, the Secretary of State Position is now the new springboard to the Governor's seat?
Stephens conveyed to a minimal crowd of long time Republicans, not only his historic first time majority floor leader position, but also his involvement in legislation establishing a written confirmation provided to GA voters. This is a feature, his predecessor, Cathy Cox (D) the Atlanta Journal Constitution's (AJC) choice for Gov, chose not to implement, but instead rely on "technical people". Cox was afforded a good amount of media attention last week, and shared her interest in working with both parties to achieve goals.
When asked if Stephens was aware of the breech of security with regard to source code (actual computer program recording the vote for Georgians developed by Diebold) having been compromised and available to anyone via the internet, as covered by Ted Koppel of ABC, Stephens acknowledged his awareness. But as to the possibility of rewriting the code in order to verify the integrity of the process, Stephens did not expect any such effort to be initiated.
With imposed voter IDs, the controlled tabulation of the vote by unsecured software, NO semblance of separation of powers, and corruption replete within the judiciary, it's not difficult for people to see where the real 'War on Terror' lies; clearly within our own borders. But will efforts begun by citizens be successfully furthered? The jury is out, but listening!
Americans Sound Off and Call for a 'Wake Up'
'Jail 4 Judges' or the Judicial Accountability Initiative
For most Americans who are aware of the travesties part and parcel of our current legal system, you are hopefully already familiar with the initiative being furthered in South Dakota to address the lack of accountability in the judiciary. This initiative focused on addressing judicial corruption seeks to provide a constitutional amendment to create special grand juries to investigate judicial wrongdoing.
The goal is to establish an unbiased review panel, unlike today's Grand Jury system available constitutionally to Georgians, albeit controlled and predefined. Through Jail, Founder Ron Bransom hopes to do something our government currently seems to be unwilling to do. In summary, his organization seeks to impose judicial redress not by the judiciary, an improbable if not impossible feat at best, but to return accountability of the government, back to the people.
As you might imagine, the Bar Association and several connected organizations have voiced their concerns, to include offering "free" legal services. You might remember that very legislation was penned in GA by the Secretary and CFO of a powerful Cobb law firm (www.bccwr.com), a firm which initiated predatory actions against property owners on behalf of the school board and dissolved Plaintiffs, (www.ricegang.com). As in the instance of a law abiding family refuseding to break the law via a void order rendered by Judge Adele Grubbs, who the law firm donned 'Citizen of the Year' following her publications, a barrage of local government travesties were employed to weaken the target.
Imagine a father, husband, and property owner, was contacted via an unpublished phone number by the local police, (who are employed by the County Commission Chairman Olens, a beneficiary of former head of the GA Republican Party, former State Senator, and CFO Chuck Clay, who provided a doubling of pay to Olens), about a problem at his home. Upon visiting the police station, he was accused of having too many false burglar alarms and immediately issued multiple citations, along with a court date. Unfortunately however, the county records did not show any alarm had gone off at his property on the days indicated, but rather at another address. Despite the facts, the property owner was arraigned and charged with a misdemeanor. When trying to present evidence to Assistant Solicitor Bill Pardue prior to the arraignment hearing, Pardue offered to take the evidence, but stated regardless of the facts, the property owner would still be charged.
Now the story could end there, but it didn't! Pardue informed those in attendance on the day of the trial, they would need to cut a deal, and the only negotiable issue was the fee. He did indicate legal representation would be provided, if none was available to you, but stated you will be required to reimburse the attorney. So much for codified law and the rights of the innocent! Kinda makes you wonder, why we fund a government, so replete with willful violations and egregious violations regarding the very law they seek to substantiate!
Well, let me offer another view from one outside the GA Area, who seems to be viewing the same landscape most Americans have caught sight of. His response is to an article in opposition of the Jail4Judges Initiative, posted to the Rapid City Journal in South Dakota. It's not too late to learn the lesson of history the easy way!

Having lived in Europe on a Fulbright-Marshall Award and had a State Department security clearance as well as a Royal Danish Foreign Ministry security clearance I found your newspaper article disgusting and undemocratic.
America is the world's laughing stock as our economy and power weaken through corrupt looting officials and especially corrupt looting bribed judges and bribed pirate officials. Your one-sided article and lack of any journalistic honesty is appalling and an example of the lack of free press, loss of freedoms seen in our fascist society and noticed all over the world. Why did you not interview the other side and truthfully present any of their ideas with any integrity at all?????
I talk with Europeans using other languages frequently including Chief of Staff Psychiatrist John Nielsen in Denmark. The lack of knowledge of history, international politics and how your actions play out in history is amazing. Look at what has happened to corrupt societies with corrupt courts, corrupt judges who illegally use the courts and government to loot their citizens for useless legal fees and steal their properties at low prices in divorce and probate.
Read Psalm 90 in your Bible or read any of Jesus' comments about lawyers. Look what happened to a corrupt Jewish priestly judicial system as well as Governor and Judge Pilate's corrupt Roman Empire. Either you corrupt one-sided press and corrupt looting politicians listen to the voices of the people or you will eventually be replaced just like the world got rid of Hitler, Stalin, and Soviet communism one way or another.
