Government Involvement In America's Homeowner Association Foreclosures

It seems like everyone is on the take

November 21, 2004

By Louis A. Gonzalez

Miami, Florida -

I live in a condo in Fraud Friendly Florida (F.F.F.) and have come to the sad realization that our very Government is involved in the thievery going on down here. Multiple open letters requesting action have been addressed to Governor Bush, and every member of the House and Senate to no avail. It seems like everyone is on the take.

I have documented proof that our treasurer (at the time) was on Federal Probation for Pell Grant Fraud, Mail and Wire Fraud during the same time that a state agency that oversees HOA's (Department of Business and Professional Regulation a.k.a. DBPR) conducted a financial investigation only to determine that among other things, this convict negotiated checks to "cash" endorsed them and not have any supporting documentation nor receipts.

No one from the local authorities bothered to check into this, and the State Attorney's Office blew us off as well. During elections week, our State Attorney declared in television commercials, that crime in Miami-Dade County dropped over 43%. It's NO WONDER the statistics show this, cause her office is not doing it's job every time we get turned away!

It was also determined that there are over $14 million dollars missing from a project at our Miami International Airport. Yet people ask themselves, why is it that nothing is being done about our cases of corruption in our State? I urge all of AHRC's readers to follow their local news and start mapping a legend to their government officials. What you will start to see is beyond your wildest dreams.

GRANTED, not every public official is crooked, but then there are those who utilize their "powers" to accommodate the laws to their favor, while others sit idly by and allow these crooks to get away with it, they are just as guilty. No one has the intestinal fortitude to call these mafias out and take them on. They are truly the foxes watching the henhouses in our own back yards.

President Bush set up a task force after the Enron debacle that would investigate corporate malfeasance. Guess what? In all states of the Union, HOA's, CA's, and POA's, are registered as "corporations", and if the State governments are permitting them to infringe on citizens' Constitutional Rights (5th & 14th Amendments – against deprivation of property without due process), then it's about time that the Federal Government step in to clean up the act.

We spend so many millions of dollars chasing ghosts, when we should worry about the terrorists who wear their ties and run our properties into the ground along with industry partisans and lobbyists who only serve to twist laws and industry regulations to their favor - buying off the lawmakers.

Dear Americans, wake up and smell the coffee, we are not being attacked by external forces, we are being held prisoners by our HOA's and those who support them.

My father-in-law was sent a bogus "statement of account" indicating that he had not paid his dues for 9 months. All the while, my father-in-law has all of his cancelled checks. Guess what? Even if you do the right thing like we do, just for speaking out, who is to say that these commandos won't fabricate these bogus bills to attempt to foreclosure on your property? All across the nation, headlines read "Another property foreclosed, many elderly are being kicked out of their homes". It can happen to anyone of us at any time.

You may despair after reading this letter, but the ONLY way to get these criminals out of our pockets and out of office is to catch them doing what they do best – stealing. Once you've done that, get enough signatures to ask for a Grand Jury Indictment. I am working on getting these signatures myself, if not one else will.

People ask me if I am afraid of losing my home, and all I have to say is "NO", cause whether is my Community Association, the Governor or the President himself, they will all have to line up to take my property away. These days everyone wants a piece of your dream, and I will not let anyone take my dream away.
