The stealing of homes and life savings in homeowner associations by foreclosure collection lawyers has become a major
Crime Against Humanity.
Thousands of homeowners in homeowner associations have lost millions of dollars. Homeowner associations have become a volume business for specialty lawers who terrorize homeowners and shakedown developers and insurers, leaving a vast swath of destruction in their wake. These lawyers have targeted whomever they consider vulnerable - seniors, disabled, minorities , single mothers. They have produced homelessness, driven many into bankruptcy, and created a foreclosure flood.
In order to stop all of this, an AHRC coalition of homeowners is launching a nationwide effort to document how much has been lost in order to present this evidence to government officials, and seek and seek corrective legislation and restitution. To do this, we need your input. If you have been a casualty of these lawyers - or know somebody who has - please fill out the following as completely as possible. The following are a few guidelines to help you do this.
1. We need to know who you are of course. You enter this information under
"Author". However, if you wish to have your identity concealed at
this point, you can input your personal information at the bottom of the form under "Note Attachment". This information will not appear on
the web. In this case, at the top of the form under "Author" simply choose "
HOA Casualty" as the author.
2. Under "Title", give a brief heading of the nature of your casualty. For example, "I Had To Pay $30,000 in Legal Fees", or "I Lost My Condo".
3. The majority of your information is put in the "Body of the Article". Here is a brief list to help you organize your material. You can make it easier to follow this list if you "COPY" the following info
rmation, then "PASTE" it into the form. You can then answer each
section as you proceed through it.
a. name, address, phone number, email of
homeowner association.
board members
management company and manager
association lawyer and law firm
developer
your lawyer
b. case number of each lawsuit
name of court
name of judge
decision in law suit
c. What happened. Lay out in as clear a way as possible, everything
that happened. While brevity is preferred,
completeness is more important. Going chronologically will usually be the best way to chronicle your
situation. When in doubt whether to include something, include it.
d. How much did you lose? This will be primarily economic losses, but
damage to health that can be attributed
to what you went through,
should also be described.
Thank you for participating in this important project.
