Summary: • Paradise Lost In San Clemente • Coast Homeowners Association in San Clemente, California being ripped off with attorney, management company and an ombudsman fees President/Head of Company: Cathy Acquazzino, Lisa Klasky CCAM Board Members: Association Management Companies Complaint - January 2000 - A homeowner from Palacio del Mar HOA reported that Acquazzino and Klasky and her company Progressive get intimately involved in the politics and mismanagement and corruption of the association. They deny services to targeted homeowners and refer all service calls and emergencies to lawyers Peters & Freeman (Laurie Poole, David Peters, Jeffrey Pratt) . They falsify and hide homeowner association records, , do selective enforcement of CCRs, lie in court to get favorable rulings for rogue board members. They nominated and gave Ray Kunkle , longtime president of Palacio del Mar HOA " CAI Board Member of the Year Award" in 2000 after he spent $150,000 on CAI lawyers fees from Palacio del Mar reserves. Kunkle triple reserved the association reserves (overcollected over $350,000 for homeowners) to sue a homeowner who had countersued him several years before and forced him to get off the board. Another board member, a retired rental judge with JAMS, Kenneth Ziebarth, helped mastermind the lawsuit with Peters & Freeman, board, and Progressive. Progressive misappropriates services from targeted victims and gives it to board mebers and supporters e..g. as soon a Kenneth Ziebarth was nominated to the board by Kunkle, Progressive had O'Connell landscapers manicuring and planting the areas around his home for weeks.
